Retiring from Bangladesh Army in 2008, Major Nazrul Islam (Retd.) served as Executive Director of a few reputed groups of Industries for about 8 years. Later on, he joined Ocean Security Services Ltd. as the Advisor in 2016 and took over as the Chairman and CEO of the Group in 2020.
